UVB is not a routine tarantula requirement
Tarantula husbandry does not require reptile-style UVB lighting. They obtain nutrition from prey and do not need UVB to produce vitamin D in the same way many reptiles do.
Direct intense light can be counterproductive
Bright hot lighting can dry small enclosures, raise temperatures and make secretive species stay hidden.
Ambient light is enough
Normal room light provides a basic day-night cycle. A low-heat display LED can be used if it does not alter the enclosure climate.
Bioactive plants are separate
Plants may need dedicated light. If you use it, choose equipment for plant growth that does not heat or expose the tarantula to intense light unnecessarily.
Do not copy reptile setups
Choose enclosure equipment for tarantulas rather than copying reptile setups.
Keep it simple
Secure housing, water, substrate, ventilation and species-appropriate moisture matter vastly more than specialised lighting hardware.
